Guide to Wheelchair Accessible Attractions at Walt Disney World® Resort

Walt Disney World® Resort aims to be The Most Magical Place on Earth—for everyone. In recognition of Disability Pride Month, we’ve put together a comprehensive list of accessible experiences, categorized by how wheelchair users can use them: May Remain in Wheelchair/ECV; Must Transfer from ECV to Wheelchair; Must Transfer from Wheelchair/ECV to Ride Vehicle; Must Transfer from ECV to Wheelchair, then to Ride Vehicle; and Must Be Ambulatory.

Among the many wheelchair-accessible experiences in the parks are dazzling fireworks displays, animal viewing and memorable Character Experiences. As a Cardmember, you also get access to private, wheelchair-accessible locations where you can pose for complimentary photos with some favorite Characters, so remember to bring your Disney® Visa® Credit Card to maximize your fun at Walt Disney World® Resort!12

Where Guests May Remain in Wheelchair/ECV

There are many attractions where Guests can remain in a wheelchair or Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) throughout the entire experience, including while queueing and riding. Where Guests Must Transfer from ECV to Wheelchair

At these locations, including the 4D culinary caper Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Guests musts transfer to a wheelchair provided at the attraction. The transfer may occur at the attraction entrance, inside the building or elsewhere in the queue.

Where Guests Must Transfer from Wheelchair/ECV to Ride Vehicle

For these offerings at Walt Disney World® Resort, Guests must transfer from a wheelchair or ECV, either by themselves or with assistance from their party, to a ride vehicle. Some examples of these vehicles are the iconic circus elephants of Dumbo the Flying Elephant and the boats along the stunning Na’vi River Journey.

Where Guests Must Transfer from ECV to Wheelchair, then to Ride Vehicle

To enjoy the attractions listed in this category, Guests must transfer from their ECV to a wheelchair provided at the attraction, and then from the wheelchair to the ride vehicle. Options for the first transfer from the Guest’s ECV to the provided wheelchair may occur at the ride entrance, inside the building or elsewhere in the queue.

The Disneyland® Resort Cardmember Photo Opportunities are offered daily during set hours–the Disney Cardmember Photo Opportunity and Heroic Encounter Photo Opportunity are at Disney California Adventure® Park and the Star Wars Cardmember Photo Opportunity is at Disneyland® Park.
