10 Tips to Maximize Your Vacation to the Disneyland® Resort with the Disney® Visa® Credit Card

The Disneyland® Resort invites Guests to enjoy iconic, enchanted experiences throughout Disney Parks! For Cardmembers who need a quick refresher on all the ways the Disney Visa Credit Card can help you get more Disney during your vacation, we’ve made a list of 10 ways to make the most of every moment. Before your visit, be sure to check out the experience updates page for the latest information and follow this guide to maximize your getaway!

1. Earn Disney Rewards Dollars when you book your vacation

Plan ahead and be sure to use your Disney Visa Credit Card as you make reservations for your hotel, purchase theme parks tickets to Disneyland® Park and Disney California Adventure® Park and more. You’ll earn Disney Rewards Dollars with each purchase, which you can later redeem toward almost anything Disney.1 Be sure you have a theme park reservation and admission for the same park on the same date, and keep in mind that park reservations are limited and subject to availability.

How much can you earn? It depends on which Disney Visa Credit Card you have! With the Disney® Inspire Visa® Card, earn 10% in Disney Rewards Dollars on card purchases made directly at DisneyPlus.com, Hulu.com or Stream.ESPN.com. You’ll also earn 3% on card purchases at DisneyStore.com and gas stations as well as most Disney U.S. locations. Disney® Inspire Visa® Cardmembers earn 2% on card purchases at grocery stores and restaurants and earn 1% on other card purchases.12

With the Disney® Premier Visa® Card, earn 5% in Disney Rewards Dollars on card purchases made directly at DisneyPlus.com, Hulu.com or Stream.ESPN.com. You’ll also earn 2% on card purchases at gas stations, grocery stores and restaurants as well as most Disney U.S. locations. Disney® Premier Visa® Cardmembers also earn 1% on other card purchases.13

With the Disney® Visa® Card, you’ll earn 1% on all card purchases.14

2. Use the Disney Inspire Visa Card to earn more when you purchase your tickets and your stay

While your anticipation is building as you’re planning your visit to the Disneyland® Resort, keep in mind you can get even more value if you use the Disney Inspire Visa Card while booking. You can earn 200 Disney Rewards Dollars after spending $2,000 per anniversary year at Disney Resorts in the U.S. and Disney Cruise Line bookings when you use your Disney Inspire Visa Card.5 This exclusive Disney Vacation Reward is just something to consider before making that Disneyland® Resort hotel reservation! 

You can get a little extra when booking your tickets as well! Exclusively available for Disney Inspire Visa Cardmembers, the Disney Theme Park Tickets Credit earns you a $100 statement credit after spending $200 per anniversary year on U.S. Disney Theme Park Tickets.6

3. Save 10% on select merchandise purchases

Shop for souvenirs for the Disney fans in your life—yourself included—throughout the Disneyland® Resort. You can even swing by World of Disney® in Downtown Disney® District for even more shopping fun, with tons of merchandise to explore. 4. Treat yourself with Disney Rewards Dollars

Order or reload your Disney Rewards Redemption Card prior to traveling so you can redeem away during your vacay. You can redeem your Disney Rewards Dollars toward tasty food, room upgrades, merchandise and one-of-a-kind experiences, such as building a custom lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop.1

5. Download the Disneyland app

Planning tools, park updates and exclusive content—enjoy all this and more when you download the official mobile app of the Disneyland® Resort! You can also place mobile orders (and even redeem your Disney Rewards Dollars toward them) and purchase Lightning Lane passes, making it your one-stop, on-the-go shop.1

6. Visit Cardmember-exclusive locations for photo opportunities

Disney Visa Cardmembers can take special photos at exclusive locations at Disneyland® Park. You’ll also receive complimentary downloads of your Disney PhotoPass® photos. Pose with some favorite pals, including the iconic blue alien, Stitch, and some legendary Super Heroes inside Disney California Adventure® Park in Hollywood Land (near Stage 17).79

5200 Disney Rewards Dollars on U.S. Disney Resort Spend Each Anniversary Year

You will receive 200 Disney Rewards Dollars automatically applied to your account after $2,000 in Qualifying Purchases each Anniversary Year. Qualifying Purchases are when you use your Disney Inspire Visa Card for U.S. Disney Resort purchases made directly with Disney (including through Disney operated websites, apps or call centers) for Disney Resorts Collection at Walt Disney World® Resort, Disneyland® Resort Hotels, AULANI Resort, Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort and Disney’s Vero Beach Resort. Qualifying Purchases include Resort hotel rates (including associated taxes and fees) and folio expenses and Resort vacation package purchases (including Theme Park tickets purchased as part of a vacation package). Qualifying Purchases also include Disney Cruise Line stateroom rates booked directly with Disney Cruise Line in U.S. Dollars (which includes associated taxes and fees but excludes folio expenses and port adventures). Purchases made for Adventures by Disney®, National Geographic Expeditions or international Disney Resorts or Parks will not qualify. 9Cardmember Photo Opportunities at the Disneyland® Resort

The Cardmember Photo Opportunities are offered daily during set hours–the Disney Cardmember Photo Opportunity and Heroic Encounter Photo Opportunity are at Disney California Adventure® Park and the Star Wars Cardmember Photo Opportunity is at Disneyland® Park. Separate Theme Park admission and Theme Park reservation required for each Cardmember Photo Opportunity. Must present a valid Disney Visa Card for entry for up to 6 people per cardmember account (each cardmember account may be used for entry only one time per day).
