Guests visiting a Disney park for a birthday celebration should make sure to take advantage of some special perks!

Complimentary celebration button

Both Disney parks destinations have a complimentary birthday button you should be sure and ask for! Not only is this a perfect keepsake, but some fun perks may come with wearing the button prominently during your park visit.

Cast members can see it’s a Guest’s birthday with this button on display, ensuring the Guest of honor gets lots of birthday greetings wherever their day takes them! Ask for a complimentary button…

• At the Disneyland® Resort: Head to City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland® Park or at Chamber of Commerce in Disney California Adventure® Park. You can also pick up a birthday button at most merchandise locations
• At Walt Disney World® Resort: Pick up your button at any Guest Relations or Front Desk location.

Must-book extras

There are some unique birthday experiences Guests can book and arrange in advance at the parks. Go above and beyond to make it a special birthday for a loved one by adding some extra birthday joy to your lodging or park visit.

Bring the birthday celebration to your stay

Personalize your Resort hotel stay for a birthday celebration, including add-ons like gift baskets, snack baskets, themed balloon bouquets and floral arrangements available from In-Room Celebrations. Arrange for some Disney treats and surprises to show up in your room ahead of the special day via In-Room Celebrations to add to your birthday celebration at the Disneyland® Resort.

And if you’re staying at Walt Disney World® Resort hotels, you can bring a birthday surprise to your stay through In Room Floral & Gifts. You could order bundles that include Disney touches on gifts of cupcakes, balloon bouquets, floral arrangements and snack baskets. Why not add an extra personalized touch with a gold jumbo number balloon(s) of the birthday boy or girl’s age?

Celebrate with cake

Make sure your whole party can enjoy cake by ordering one in advance from participating restaurants. If you’re looking for a specific design, Amorette’s Patisserie of Disney Springs® offers handmade, custom cakes in specialty flavors.

Guests can order a Mickey Mouse celebration cake at various locations around the Disney parks. You can even add a special message of “Happy Birthday” or “Congratulations” to an ear if you like! These deliciously adorable cakes come in dark chocolate or white chocolate and serve 4 to 6 people.

Memorialize a special birthday at Walt Disney World® Resort with a Capture Your Moment photo session! These personalized 20-minute shoots with a Disney PhotoPass photographer are available at four theme parks: Magic Kingdom® Park , EPCOT®, Disney’s Hollywood Studios® and Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park . Whether it’s for a milestone birthday or your first visit, this session offers a magical way to capture your special day. While photos are not included in the session price, guests with Memory Maker, Memory Maker One Day or a qualifying Walt Disney World Annual Pass with a Disney PhotoPass benefit can download them at no extra cost.

Book the royal treatment

If you want an unforgettable experience for the birthday of your little prince or princess, consider booking the makeover experience at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Magic Kingdom® Park or at the Disneyland® Resort! There are packages that even come with a costume inspired by some favorite Disney characters. For your princesses in training you could book the Princess Signature Dress package which includes a Disney Princess-inspired gown, tiara and other magical extras.

You can also book an experience for your knight in training, which includes a new cool look complete with styling gel and confetti.
