Coco Movie Moments to Spot at Plaza de la Familia

Coco

¡Bienvenidos—welcome—to Plaza de la Familia! Embrace the spirit of Día de los Muertos—or Day of the Dead—at a celebration to remember at the Disneyland® Resort in Paradise Gardens in Disney California Adventure® Park. From September 2 to November 2, 2022, honor the everlasting bonds of family at this immersive, Coco-inspired event. It’s a popular time to visit, so be sure to purchase park tickets and make park reservations in advance!

Experience movie moments that will remind you of Coco with a day of Mexican food, Mariachi concerts and special memories. Remember, Cardmembers can redeem Disney Rewards Dollars toward theme park admission and toward treats, experiences and souvenirs.1

Enjoy popular songs from the movie Coco, including “Remember Me”

Coco’s colors and sounds come alive during A Musical Celebration of Coco, a performance by the Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia featuring some favorite songs from the movie. Listen to a message of love for family—past and present. Check the Disneyland app for show times.*

Meet the main Coco character, Miguel

In between performances of A Musical Celebration of Coco, find Miguel for your chance to meet and take a photo with him. Capture a snapshot and make special memories in front of the vibrant mural entitled “Recuérdame” (“Remember Me”).

Design a paper alebrije mask (spirit guide)

As Miguel’s family journeyed between the land of the living and the land of the dead, they relied on their faithful companions Pepita and Dante. Honor these two spirit guides by creating your own paper alebrije mask of them. Alebrijes are small figurines of fantastical creatures.

Add a remembrance to the Memory Wall

Remembering so many moments from Coco, you can’t help but think of your loved ones and the precious time you’ve spent together. Make your way to the Mexican Árbol de la Vida (Tree of Life) and add a remembrance note to the Memory Wall—honoring your family and ancestors with each new memory you create.

Dine on delicious Mexican food at Paradise Garden Grill

Step into a fiesta of flavors at Paradise Garden Grill. With so many delicious offerings, you’ll want to pile extra helpings onto your plate—so remember, you can save 10% on most meals, most days by using your Disney® Visa® Credit Card. 23 Bonus: You can watch a Mariachi concert performed on the bandstand as you dine.
