How Walt Disney World® Resort Keeps it Safe and Fun for All
Many Walt Disney World® Resort attractions have height requirements that are set according to each attraction’s intensity and specific safety considerations to help ensure that everyone has a good time.

Tips for Families with Young Children
If you’re visiting Walt Disney World® Resort with small children, height requirements are no barrier to a good time. For a magical vacation that’s fun for the whole family, all it takes is a bit of planning. Start by checking the Walt Disney World® Resort website or the My Disney Experience app, where each attraction’s page will list its most up-to-date height requirements and guidelines, as well as any relevant age and health recommendations. You can also filter attractions by height requirement, letting you find attractions that your whole family can experience.
When it’s time to plan your daily itinerary, one idea is to focus on the many attractions that have no height requirements and that everybody can enjoy together. You can also take advantage of Rider Switch, which is available on almost all attractions with a height requirement. The service allows Guests to split their party, letting older family members take turns experiencing the attraction and waiting with any children who don’t meet the height requirement without having to reenter the queue.
And because growth spurts happen, Walt Disney World® Resort has height check stations throughout its parks.
Making the Park Visit Fun for Little Ones
Want to forget the feet and ignore the inches? Many activities across the parks, like Character experiences, fireworks and stage shows, don’t have any restrictions, meaning the whole family can meet Mickey Mouse and then watch the Fantasmic! fireworks together. Just remember: Walt Disney World® Resort has something for everyone, so everyone should have something special to do. Cardmembers also have access to private photo locations including EPCOT® in Future World and the outside of the Star Wars Launch Bay in the Animation Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios®.00 The key to the perfect family vacation is balance, mixing thrilling attractions that will excite adults and teens with all-ages activities that every family member can take part in.
When planning lodging, transportation and the daily itinerary for your family vacation, it’s easy to overlook attraction height requirements. But taking a moment to check them in advance will ensure that your trip doesn’t come up short. Speaking of things you shouldn’t overlook, don’t forget that you can secure special vacation financing for your next Walt Disney World® Resort getaway if you’re a Disney® Visa® Cardmember!0
