Whether you’re a returning Guest or this is your first visit to the EPCOT® International Flower & Garden Festival, you’ll find that the sights, sounds and tastes are blooming brighter than ever in 2022. “This year, we’re bringing back many of the experiences from previous festivals which our Guests love, but with beautiful new enhancements,” says Rick DeCicco, Proprietor of Festivals, Events and Business Relations at Walt Disney World® Resort. “It’s a fantastic time of year to visit, because thanks to a lot of help from Mother Nature, the park comes to life in a completely different way.”
Get a preview of the enchanting experiences that await below, and as you plan your getaway to visit the festival, remember that you can use your Disney® Visa® Credit Card to receive special vacation financing on select Disney vacation packages.1
Adore the Disney Character topiaries? You’ll find plenty of these clever constructions throughout EPCOT®. Talk about perfect photo ops! If gazing at gardens gives you a sense of wonder or provides you with ideas for your own garden back home, you’ll find plenty of inspiration to draw upon. Among our favorites are the Floating Gardens on the World Showcase Lagoon, the miniature garden at the German Pavilion and the striking Garden Italiano in the Italian Pavilion. You’ll also want to make time for a self-guided tour of the English Tea Gardens at the United Kingdom Pavilion, complete with a stop at the Tea Caddy Shop where you’ll find many of the teas for sale.
The entire family will be abuzz with excitement for Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration. Just redeem your Disney Rewards Dollars toward the purchase of a map at select merchandise locations (while supplies last), then spot Spike the Bee throughout World Showcase.2 When you’re finished, turn in your map for a special gift.
You and the kids will be awed as you watch Monarch butterflies hatch by the hundreds at Bambi’s Butterfly House. Or sit, sip and munch on something delicious while you watch the youngsters romp on innovative, specially designed playgrounds. Evenings are lovely too, with dinner concert packages on the weekends.
A fan of plant-based food? Then you’ll love taking the Garden Graze food stroll. Purchase five unique dishes while strolling the Promenade and receive a stamp for each one in your Festival Passport as you track your progress through the Garden Graze. At the end of your stroll, you’ll receive a garden-themed prize.
A festival without food just wouldn’t be a festival, right? And since this event is all about gardens, you’ll find plenty of tempting items and beverages incorporating fresh ingredients at nearly 20 outdoor kitchens. Be sure to pay a visit to the EPCOT® Farmers Feast outdoor kitchen, which serves a constantly evolving farm-to-table menu. “We rotate the menu out regularly in order to source seasonal local ingredients,” DeCicco says. You may also want to start your day at the EPCOT® Sunshine Griddle, a popular brunch concept now in its second year. It’s a great place to go when the park opens to kick off the day.
If you want to bring home a colorful decoration for your garden or a souvenir for yourself, you’ll find plenty to choose from, including the Festival Cookbook, which contains family-friendly recipes featured in all the festivals through the years. When shopping, remember to redeem your Disney Reward Dollars toward your merchandise.2
As you can see, the EPCOT® International Flower & Garden Festival is one beautiful sensory experience after another. “I love to see our Guests discover the park during this festival,” DeCicco concludes. “It’s truly magical.”
