Our first how-to breaks down the steps of transforming a paper bag to look like a glow-in-the-dark Stormtrooper. Once the bag is decorated, fill it with take-home fun like a glow-stick “lightsaber” holder and Star Wars goodies like stickers and small toys.

Instructions

For the Stormtrooper Favor Bag:

  • Get white party favor bags, and for an extra special touch start by painting them with glow-in-the-dark white paint.
  • While the bags are drying, use a pair of scissors, a cutting knife or an electronic cutting machine to cut out Stormtrooper pieces on a piece of black paper. (Ensure there is adult supervision for using scissors and sharp objects.) Download template here.
  • Next, use a glue stick to adhere the black paper cutouts to the white bag.

For the Lightsaber Holder:

  • Download our template to print and cut out the favor template on white card stock. (Ensure there is adult supervision for using scissors and sharp objects.)
  • Punch two holes on each end of the card, then stick either end of the glow stick bracelet through each hole to hold it in place

Grogu Guacamole Board

Could there be anything cuter than Grogu in guacamole form? This delightful tutorial shows how to put together a snack table that celebrates your Star Wars fandom. Complete the Grogu Guacamole board with DIY treats like Chocolate TIE Fighters and Chocolate-Covered Pretzel Lightsabers, perfect for serving alongside other snacks like chips and veggies that guests can dip.

Instructions

For the Grogu Guacamole:

  • Make your favorite guacamole recipe.
  • In the center of a slate or wooden serving board, start spreading out the guacamole to create Grogu’s head shape.
  • Cut a green mini bell pepper in half for his ears.
  • Line the base of his head with white onions.
  • Use whole olives for his eyes.
  • Use a sliver of a green mini bell pepper for his mouth.
  • Surround your creation with other snack items like vegetables and pretzels to dip and enjoy.

For the Chocolate TIE Fighters:

  • Dab the ends of each mini marshmallow in melted chocolate (white is is the best for a seamless look).
  • Take thin chocolate cookies and press on either side of the marshmallow holding until cooled.

For the Chocolate-Covered Pretzel Lightsabers:

  • Start by melting red, green, blue and gray baking chocolate in the microwave or on the stove.
  • Next, dip each pretzel rod 3/4 of the way into the red, green or blue chocolate to coat.
  • Refrigerate until hardened.
  • Dip the remaining 1/4 of each pretzel into the gray chocolate and top with a red chocolate candy “button.”
  • Refrigerate until hardened and enjoy!

Droid Designer

Guests can channel their inner Babu Frik at your Star Wars birthday party by constructing their own droids with paper crafts. Keep little hands busy (with supervision!) with this fun art activity that uses easy printables and craft supplies to allow everyone’s creativity to run wild.

  • Glitter or metallic card stock
  • Rhinestones, gemstones, sequins and/or glitter
