We love Halloween! And there’s no better place to get in the spirit than the Disneyland® Resort where a magic spell is cast over both parks. This year, pack your costumes, brush the cobwebs off your broomsticks and hurry over to both Disneyland® Park and Disney California Adventure® Park between September 7th and October 31st for the happiest hauntings on Earth.

Here’s a glimpse of what to expect. Snap the perfect selfie family photo by an enormous Mickey jack o’ lantern in Town Square. Then stroll down Main Street, U.S.A to view hundreds of uniquely carved jack o’ lanterns. Experience ghostly encounters at Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy. Head over to Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante for a look at the fabulous Día de los Muertos decorations and some great Mexican seasonal treats. Then get in gear and wheel over to Cars Land to see how Lightning McQueen and his friends celebrate Haul-O-Ween.

Disneyland Halloween Candied Apples

Confection Perfection

And when hunger pangs strike, you’ll want to sink your fangs into a candied apple from Marceline’s Confectionery in the Downtown Disney® District. They’re always the perfect combo of crunchy and sweet, but they’re even more tantalizing during Halloween when Tony Arellano—Candy Maker at the Disneyland® Resort—and his team turn them into works of art. Arellano shared some mouth-watering facts about the crispy colorful creations. Did you know:

  • It takes about eight hours to complete one batch of apples from dipping to decorating.
  • Complex designs like the Evil Queen apple can take up to two hours to decorate.
  • About 625 pounds of caramel are used daily during the Halloween season — that’s over 28,000 pounds of caramel!
  • And don’t worry about missing your chance to snap one up. The team creates about 3,000 apples daily — a whopping 135,000 during the Halloween season. Happy munching!
